INNER WORLD WRITING
creative writing for self-discovery and self-expression

These courses are for you if you long to explore your creativity through writing, or want to find other ways of accessing your imaginative powers, or if you are stuck with any kind of writing (personal or professional).

This kind of creative writing allows your imagination free flow to help you uncover your creativity and learn more about yourselves. Find out how this works through techniques designed to access the space between your conscious and unconscious minds, and bypass the inner critic. This approach to creative writing involves keeping your pen moving on the paper, with no pauses for editing or censorship; you can be as imaginative, prosaic, repetitive and outrageous as you like. You will be given short pieces to write and have an opportunity to share some of them with the other members of the group. I aim to end the day with a constructed poem incorporating words, phrases, metaphors, objects that have inspired you throughout the day.

I am constantly amazed at the beauty and variety of the work that is done in these workshops and I hope this will inspire you to attend and then continue with your writing.

If there is interest, I will be happy to set up creative writing groups for ongoing work, in both Rochester, Kent and Central London.

Beginners and more experienced are welcome.
